Tweede dag Experimenten 1

Gisteren was de tweede dag van de cursus Experimenten I van Wil Fritsma. Ook deze dag hebben we met z'n allen hard doorgewerkt. Met de technieken die Wil ons leerde hebben we blokken gemaakt. Ook heeft ze ons een techniek geleerd om deze blokken op een mooie manier aan elkaar te maken (quilt as you go). Ik heb enorm genoten van deze cursus. Het was gezellig, Wil legt goed uit en het inspireert enorm. Liefst zou ik elke week zo'n cursus doen.

Yesterday was the second day of the course Experimenten I of Wil Fritsma. This day we als worked hard. We made some blocks with the techniques Wil teached us. She also learned us how to attach these blockes to eachother - quilt as you go. I enjoyed this course a lot. It was nice working with the other ladies that took the course, Wil explains very well and it was very inspiring. If I could, I would go to a course like this every week.

Er zijn 5 verschillende Experiment cursussen, maar de tweede wordt pas volgend jaar maart weer georganiseerd in Borger. Dat duurt dus nog een hele tijd. Jammer, maar ik denk dat ik me toch maar alvast opgeef. Overigens zie je mijn serie blokken rechts op de eerste foto. De andere blokken zijn van de overige cursisten. Toch leuk om te zien welke kleuren gekozen zijn en hoe iedereen het weer op zijn eigen manier doet. Wat ik ook leuk vond was dat er vier cursisten uit Assen waren. En ik dacht altijd dat er in Assen geen mensen waren die zich bezighielden met Art quilts. Dat had ik dus helemaal verkeerd ingeschat.

There are 5 different Experiment courses, but the next one I can visite in Borger is next year March. That means I have to wait a long time. That's a pity, but I will enrol anyway.
The blocks I made are on the first picture, on the right. The other blocks are made by others. It is nice to see that everyone works with different colours and in her own way. What I also liked was that four of the ladies at the course live in Assen too. I always thought that there are no art quilters in Assen. I was totally wrong.

Wedstrijdtas verstuurd
Wat ook nog leuk is om te melden, is dat ik de wedstrijdtas voor het Internationale quiltfestival in Wilwerwitz heb opgestuurd. Ik hoop dat hij maandag aankomt, want dan is hij nog op tijd. Spannend hoor. Ik hoop dat hij mooi staat tussen alle andere tassen en niet te veel uit de toon valt. Tenzij dit op een positieve manier is natuurlijk :-).

What is also nice to tell, is that I send in my competition bag for the International quilt festival in Wilwerwiltz. I hope it arrives on Monday, so it is on time. I am very excited by it. I hope my bag looks well in between al the other bags that are send in. And if it looks a bit different, I hope that is a positive thing :-).
