Problemen - Trouble

Sinds ik mijn Husqvarna Designer SE heb gekocht, heb ik problemen met de borduur-unit. Hij begint goed te naaien en zo opeens gaat ie doen wat ie wil doen. Recht naar boven! Dit is zo frustrerend. Ik heb nog maar twee dingen kunnen maken die gelukt zijn.
Deze keer wilde ik een cadeautje maken voor het babietje van een vriendin die ik ken van mijn schoolperiode. Haar naam is Noor. En kijk nou toch wat er is gebeurd... Ik ben bijna op het punt dat ik de machine niet meer wil. Of op het punt om in tranen uit te barsten. Dit had zo'n mooie combinatie moeten zijn: Husqvarna en ik...

Since I bought my Husqvarna Designer SE I have trouble with the embroidery-unit. The sewing machine starts of well and all of a sudden it decides to take it's own path. Straight to the top! This is so frustrating. I have only made two things that went well. This time I wanted to make a present for the new baby girl of a high school friend. Her name is Noor. And look what happend... I am almost at the point that I don't want this sewing machine anymore. Or at the point to just cry, because this should have been such a beautiful combination: Husqvarna and I.....

Kaart, ATC en borduurwerk

Het borduurwerkje vordert gestaag. Het is een hele klus dit handwerk, maar ik kan het mooi doen als ik met de kinderen tv zit te kijken of als we buiten in zon zitten.

My embroidery work is growing slowly. It is a lot of work this hand work, but I can work on it while watching tv with the kids or sitting outside in the sun.

Van Hannie kreeg ik deze mooie ATC en postkaart. Dank je wel Hannie. Ik zal je iets terugsturen, zodra ik weer kaarten heb.

Oefening - Practice

Vandaag heb ik geoefend met borduurwerk. Ik vind borduurwerk op quilts van anderen altijd erg mooi en om mijn eigen vaardigheden te vergroten ben ik wat gaan oefenen.

Today I have been practicing embroidery. I always like the look of embroidery on quilts of other people, so I wanted to improve my own skills.

Quiltgroep groeit

Hoewel we nog geen naam of blog hebben is de nieuwe quilting art groep gegroeid naar 10 vrouwen. Ik vind het zo leuk!

Although we do not have a name yet and not a blog, the new Quilting Art Group has grown to ten woman now. I am so excited!


Verder ben ik op het moment wat moe en heb niet direct inspiratie om iets te maken. Het enige wat ik nu doe is steekjes oefenen op een lapje. Ik denk dat ik dit lapje later nog ergens in verwerk.

And, at the moment I am quite tired and I have a lack of inspiration. The only thing I am working on is a little piece of fabric which I embellish with embroidery stiches (is this good English?). I think I will use this piece of fabric in some kind of work later.
