Het is stil, want ik werk...- It's quiet, because I'm working...

Workshop Experiment 4 - Wil Fritsma

Last Saterday I followed the workshop Experiment 4 of Wil Fritsma. It was wonderful to work two days long on quilt techniques. And though I know a lot of techniques, I haven't tried them all out. Sometimes, beceause I don't know how to use them, other times because I didn't had the time, or didn't know yet how to incorperate them in my work. After this workshop I am full of inspiration and working hard. Working on all kind of things, that aren't ready yet.

A new quilt

This is a quilt that is in the design stage. I used felt, angelina, tule and hand dyed cotton. I will keep you informed about the process of this one. And the one in the top (that is another one)

More fabric, more colours

Because I need some more colors for the stormquilt (The Dutch Bag Ladies theme), I dyed some cotton. It is still not enough, so I need to dye some more. There are still some colours missing and I dyed some colours I don't need right now.

Wow, wow, wow! You always surprise and amaze me. The top piece screams color and texture. I love it. The second one is three dimensional and I love that too. I wonder how you made the tubes and with what? Lovely!!!!
And your tall stack of hand dyed fabrics, well, again you boggle my mind with your amazing work and creations and creating!

Yes, I love the texture and color in your top quilt...and then the next one down is very fascinating too! It must be cold in your part of the world now, so I hope you have someplace warm to do your dyeing.

Hugs!
