Project work - Around the world in 20 quilts

Op het moment werk ik aan twee projecten Exquisite corps textiles and Around the world in 20 quilts. Ik kan nog niets laten zien van het Exquisite corps textiles project, want daarbij is één van de voorwaarden dat je niets laat zien totdat het hele stuk af is. Maar gelukkig kan ik al wel laten zien hoe ver ik ben met mijn werk voor de opdracht 'bomen' van Around the world in 20 quilts. En het is niet dat je nu al kunt zien wat het gaat worden, want dat moet een verrassing blijven, maar het is toch een glimps. Ik zal de stappen laten zien die ik zet tot het eindresultaat. En het mooiste is dat het ook nog een verrassing voor mijzelf is, want het groeit onder mijn handen. Ik heb geen plan gemaakt hoe het straks moet zijn. Ik beslis en ontwerp terwijl ik er aan werk.

I am working on two projects: Exquisite corps textiles and Around the world in 20 quilts. I can not show what I am doing for the Exquisite corps textiles project because the outcome has to be a secret. But I can show you how far I am with my work for Around the world in 20 quilts. It is not that you can see what it will become yet, for I want it to be a surprise, but it is a glimps. I will show the steps I am taking along the way. And the best is, that is is also a surprise to me, because it grows in my hands. I do not have a plan in advance how I will make it. I decide and design it along the way.
